Summer will be here before we know it and taking your kids on a fun trip to a waterpark is a great way to welcome the warm weather and have some fun family time. The Midwest is one of the greatest places to be for the best waterparks because the Wisconsin Dells houses some of the best waterparks in the nation. Looking to take a trip this summer?   1. Kalahari Resort // A part of the Wisconsin Dells family Kalahari is home to some of the best water rides that the Wisconsin Dells has to offer. Located in Wisconsin Dells, WI Kalahari is a full service resort featuring two water parks; one indoor and one outdoor. The Master Blaster is a ride for those ambitious enough to ride its 570 foot course. This water park also has fun activities for more tame park goers like the crocodile creek, a fun activity pool.
  2. Noah’s Ark // America’s largest waterpark also belongs to the Wisconsin Dells family. Noah’s Ark is filled with some of the best water attractions such as the Black Anaconda that is over ¼ mile long and reaches 30 mph! It also has the Scorpion’s Tail, a body slide that sends you plummeting at 50 feet per second through a slide that is 400 feet long! A definite must for thrill seeking families!
  3. KeyLime Cove // Located in Gurnee, IL Key Lime Cove is a Chicagoland indoor water park. It has rides like the Hurricane Vortex is their own rendition of a toilet bowl ride. It also has a tsunami wave pool that is fun for taking things a bit easier. For the younger ones there’s a play pond that has mini slides for your little ones.
  4. Zoombezi Bay // Zoombezi Bay is a 22-acre premier waterpark located in Powell, OH. Home to the brand new ride the Soundsurfer, a five person ride complete with LED lights, speakers and a mist filled splashdown. Riders can pick from different themes like disco or country to entirely personalize their ride! This park also has a great lazy river that is 850 feet long and you’re also permitted to bring your drink with you! A perfect place to relax and rewind.
  5. Avalanche Bay // An indoor waterpark located in Boyne Falls, MI this park has rides for the ultimate thrill seeker. The Big Couloir drops a trap door and sends riders soaring at 38 feet per second through twists and even a 360 degree loop. This park also has a Rip Zone surf simulator where you can attempt to surf on the region’s first indoor surf simulator.
