Protein Travel Snacks

Having some protein while you’re traveling will help keep you from becoming starving (nobody wants that!), and helps you feel more full and satisfied. These are some items that you can either make homemade or purchase out. Of course, if it’s homemade you know all of the ingredients and can be sure it’s the healthiest recipe. However, sticking to the most natural ingredients will be your best option either way. Some protein options are:

  1. A natural granola bar, protein bar, or nut/seed with fruit bar.
  2. Nuts (all varieties)
  3. Jerky-all types just choose one with minimal added ingredients/sugar.
  4. Hard-boiled egg
  5. Roasted chickpeas
  6. Nut butter packets (can add onto any whole fruit as well!)
  7. Hummus
  8. Cheese and crackers

Fruit/Vegetable Travel Snacks

Having fruits and vegetables will keep you more satisfied and they are packed with nutrients to fuel your body on the go!

  1. Whole vegetables such as carrots, celery sticks, or snap peas.
  2. Whole fruits like an apple, clementine, and plums.
  3. Whole berries or grapes.
  4. Smoothies -homemade or store bought (preferably with no added sugar)
  5. Dried fruits
  6. Edamame
